Pro Tips
- Start with a coarser grit for high spots or heavy filler, then finish with a finer grit for a smooth paint-ready surface.
- Let the sander glide over the surface rather than pressing hard. Excessive pressure can create swirl marks and reduce extraction efficiency.
- Use the extractor&s AutoClean function when working with fine drywall dust to help maintain airflow.
- Keep the suction hose as straight as possible while sanding ceilings to reduce drag and improve comfort.
- Check the sanding pad condition regularly. A worn or damaged pad can affect the finish quality.
- Use good lighting from the side of the wall to reveal sanding marks, ridges and low spots before painting.
How to Use
- Fit the correct Festool 225mm StickFix abrasive to the sanding pad.
- Connect the suction hose to the PLANEX sander and the CTL 36 E AC-LHS mobile dust extractor.
- Connect the sander to the power supply and set the required sanding speed for the surface.
- Switch on the extractor and confirm that dust extraction is working properly before sanding.
- Place the sanding head flat against the wall or ceiling before starting the sanding motion.
- Move the sander smoothly over the surface using overlapping passes for an even finish.
- Avoid pressing too hard; allow the abrasive and machine to do the work.
- Inspect the surface regularly and change abrasive grit when moving from rough sanding to final finishing.
- Switch off the sander and extractor before changing abrasives, pads or accessories.
