Extra Information

This is the Basic version and is supplied without battery pack and charger.
The included SG-240/W-ISC cutting set is suited to flexible insulating materials such as mineral wool and natural fibre insulation.
For rigid insulation such as PUR and polystyrene boards, use the correct cross-set cutting set for the material.
The ISC 240 can be used freehand or with a Festool guide rail and stop system for more accurate cuts.
The 27 mm dust extraction connection allows connection to a suitable Festool dust extractor where dust control is required.
For best cordless performance, use compatible Festool 18 V battery packs suited to the application.

Pro Tips

Use the guide rail slide when straight, repeatable cuts are needed. Insulation may be soft, but wonky cuts still show up during fitting.
Match the cutting set to the insulation type. Flexible mineral wool and rigid foam boards need different blade styles for best results.
Let the saw cut at its own pace. Forcing it can compress soft insulation and reduce cut quality.
Use the FS-WA-ISC angle stop with a guide rail when cutting repeated angled pieces for roof or framing work.
Keep the cutting set clean and inspect it regularly. Dull or damaged blades make insulation cutting messy very quickly.

How to Use

Select the correct cutting set for the insulation material being cut.
Remove the battery pack before fitting or changing the cutting set.
Fit the cutting set using the FastFix system and make sure it is securely locked in place.
Attach the adapter table or guide rail slide if the application requires guided cutting.
Connect a suitable dust extractor to the 27 mm extraction connection where dust extraction is required.
Insert a compatible Festool 18 V battery pack.
Mark the cutting line clearly on the insulation material.
Place the saw on the material or guide rail and start the machine before entering the cut.
Guide the saw steadily through the material without forcing or compressing the insulation.
Allow the cutting set to stop completely before setting the tool down or changing accessories.
