The ETS EC 150/5 EQ is the intermediate-sanding version of the ETS EC 150 range.
The 5 mm sanding stroke is best suited to light sanding and intermediate sanding of varnish, paint and filler.
For fine and extra-fine sanding, the ETS EC 150/3 with a 3 mm stroke may be more suitable.
The sander uses 150 mm StickFix abrasives and a MULTI-JETSTREAM 2 sanding pad system.
For best performance, connect the sander to a suitable Festool dust extractor and use the correct Festool abrasive for the material.
The sanding pad brake helps protect both the workpiece and the user by reducing uncontrolled pad speed when the tool is not under load.

Pro Tips

Use the ETS EC 150/5 EQ when you need faster sanding progress than the 3 mm fine-sanding version.
Keep pressure light and even. Excessive pressure can reduce surface quality and shorten abrasive life.
Use a gradual grit sequence to remove previous sanding marks properly before coating or finishing.
Connect a Festool dust extractor to improve visibility, reduce dust and help abrasives last longer.
Use the correct sanding pad hardness for the job: softer pads for curves and delicate surfaces, harder pads for flatter work.

How to Use

Fit the correct 150 mm StickFix abrasive disc to the sanding pad.
Connect the plug it-cable securely to the sander.
Connect a suitable Festool dust extractor to the 27 mm dust extraction connection.
Select the correct speed setting for the material and sanding stage.
Place the sanding pad flat on the workpiece before switching the machine on.
Guide the sander evenly across the surface using light, controlled pressure.
Work progressively through the required abrasive grits until the desired finish is achieved.
Allow the sanding pad to stop before lifting the sander from the surface.
Disconnect the plug it-cable before changing pads, cleaning or making adjustments.
