The RO 150 FEQ uses a 150 mm FastFix sanding pad system.
ROTEX rotary motion is best used for coarse sanding and high material removal.
Pure eccentric motion is best used for fine sanding and surface finishing.
The extraction channel can be removed for polishing work where unrestricted access is required.
Use suitable Festool sanding pads, polishing pads and abrasives to match the material and finish required.
For best dust control, connect the sander to a compatible Festool mobile dust extractor.

Pro Tips

Use ROTEX mode for fast removal of paint, varnish or uneven surfaces, then switch to eccentric mode for the finishing stages.
Move through the abrasive grits gradually to reduce sanding marks and improve the final surface quality.
Use the Protector when sanding near frames, edges or adjoining surfaces to help avoid damage.
For polishing, remove the extraction channel when needed and use the correct polishing pad and compound combination.
Let the machine and abrasive do the work. Excessive pressure can create heat, reduce abrasive life and affect the finish.

Fit the correct 150 mm sanding or polishing pad using the FastFix system.
Attach the correct abrasive disc, polishing pad or accessory for the application.
Connect the plug it-cable securely to the machine.
Connect a suitable Festool dust extractor when sanding.
Select ROTEX rotary motion for coarse sanding and fast material removal.
Select eccentric motion for fine sanding and smoother surface finishing.
Set the speed according to the material and sanding or polishing task.
Place the pad flat on the workpiece before starting the machine.
Guide the sander evenly across the surface with controlled pressure.
Allow the pad to stop before lifting the machine or placing it down.
