The special shape in combination with expanding glue pockets and longitudinal grooves gives the dowels a secure grip. For absolutely twist-proof connections and maximum stability. Added to this is significantly faster processing: The first dowel hole is aligned with extreme ease and routed accurately using flip stops. It immediately secures the workpieces that are to be joined so that they are exact and flush with the edge. The DOMINO system even tolerates smaller imprecisions in the other dowel holes.

Beech DOMINO tenons are intended for interior applications.
For exterior or weather-exposed applications, use suitable Festool sipo DOMINO tenons instead.
The set is designed for Festool DF 500, DF 500 R and DFC 500 joining machines.
DOMINO tenons are marked with their size to make selection quicker and easier.
The included Systainer³ SORT-SYS3 M 187 DOMINO keeps the tenons and cutters cleanly packed and ready to transport.
Use the correct cutter size for the selected DOMINO tenon size.

Pro Tips

Always match the cutter diameter to the DOMINO tenon width before routing the mortise.
Use the first DOMINO position as your alignment point, then use the wider mortise settings where needed to allow easier assembly.
Apply enough glue to coat the mortise and tenon, but avoid overloading the joint with excessive glue.
Keep the Systainer³ stocked by refilling the tenon compartments before starting a large furniture or cabinetmaking job.
Store the cutters back in their dedicated compartments after use to prevent damage and keep the set complete.

How to Use

Select the required DOMINO tenon size for the material thickness and joint strength needed.
Fit the matching DOMINO cutter to the compatible Festool DF 500, DF 500 R or DFC 500 machine.
Mark the joint positions on the workpieces.
Set the routing depth, mortise width and fence position according to the tenon size and joint layout.
Route the DOMINO mortises using the correct machine settings.
Apply suitable wood glue into the mortises and onto the DOMINO tenons.
Insert the DOMINO tenons and bring the workpieces together.
Clamp the joint until the adhesive has cured according to the glue manufacturer’s instructions.
Return unused tenons and cutters to the Systainer³ to keep the set organised.
