Extra Information
- This I-Basic version is supplied without battery pack and without charger.
- The TPC 18/4 has a switchable axial impact function for masonry applications.
- The FastFix interface allows quick tool-free attachment changes for drilling, screwdriving, angle drilling and angle screwdriving.
- The CENTROTEC tool chuck is a compact quick-change system for rapid switching between drilling, countersinking and screwdriving accessories.
- The electronic KickbackStop improves safety by reducing the risk of sudden wrist twisting if the drill jams.
- For demanding work, use the correct Festool 18V battery pack to match the required power and runtime.
Pro Tips
- Use 1st gear for high-torque screwdriving and large screws, and 4th gear for fast, precise drilling with smaller drill bits.
- Switch on the impact function only when drilling in brickwork or masonry; keep it off for wood, metal and plastic.
- Use the CENTROTEC chuck for quick bit changes when moving between pilot drilling, countersinking and screwdriving.
- Set the torque properly for assembly work to avoid overdriving screws or damaging fittings.
- Use the auxiliary handle for high-torque drilling or when working with larger drill bits for better control.
How to Use
- Fit a compatible Festool 18V battery pack to the tool.
- Select the correct chuck or attachment for the task, such as the CENTROTEC tool chuck or keyless chuck.
- Choose the correct drill bit or screwdriver bit for the material and fastener.
- Select the correct gear for the job: lower gears for torque, higher gears for speed.
- Set the torque control when screwdriving to match the screw size and material.
- Switch on the impact function only when drilling in brickwork or masonry.
- Hold the tool firmly, using the auxiliary handle for heavier drilling or high-torque work.
- Start slowly for control, then increase speed as required.
- After use, remove the bit or drill accessory and store the tool in the Systainer³.
