This is the Basic version and no battery or charger is listed in the Festool scope of delivery.
The PSBC 420 EB-Basic is the D-handle version in the Festool CARVEX cordless jigsaw range.
The machine works especially well with compatible Festool Li-HighPower compact battery packs for a lighter cordless setup.
The supplied blade set includes one WOOD FINE CUT blade and one WOOD UNIVERSAL blade for common wood cutting applications.
For best results, match the jigsaw blade to the material and required cut quality.
Use suitable dust extraction where possible to keep the cut line clearer and reduce dust in the work area.

Pro Tips

Use a fine-tooth blade and the splinterguard when the visible cut edge must be clean.
Use a lower pendulum setting for cleaner cuts and a higher pendulum setting for faster cutting progress.
Let the blade do the cutting; forcing the jigsaw can cause blade deflection and a rougher cut.
For tight curves, reduce feed speed and guide the saw smoothly without twisting the blade.
Use dust extraction and the stroboscopic light together for better visibility of the cut line.

How to Use

Select the correct jigsaw blade for the material and cut quality required.
Fit the blade securely using the FastFix blade change system.
Fit the splinterguard when a cleaner top and bottom cut edge is required.
Insert a compatible Festool 18 V battery pack.
Set the stroke rate and pendulum action according to the material and application.
Connect suitable dust extraction if required.
Place the base flat on the workpiece before starting the cut.
Start the jigsaw and allow it to reach the selected speed before feeding into the cut.
Guide the saw steadily along the marked line without forcing the blade.
Switch off and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.
