Pro Tips

Use ROTEX rotary motion when you need fast material removal, then switch to eccentric motion for the final finishing passes.
Do not press too hard while sanding. Let the machine, abrasive and movement do the work.
Use the triangular pad for corners and tight areas instead of forcing the round pad into edges.
Rotate the delta abrasive tip when worn to get more use from the abrasive.
For polishing, keep the machine moving and use the correct Festool polishing sponge and compound for the surface.
Use dust extraction whenever possible to keep the abrasive cooler, cleaner and cutting properly.

How to Use

Select the correct sanding or polishing pad for the application.
Fit the pad using the FastFix system, making sure it is properly seated before starting the machine.
Attach the correct StickFix abrasive disc or triangular abrasive sheet to the pad.
Connect the plug it cable securely to the machine.
Connect a suitable Festool dust extractor to the 27 mm dust extraction connection when sanding.
Select ROTEX rotary motion for coarse sanding or stronger material removal.
Select eccentric motion for fine sanding and finishing work.
Place the sander flat on the workpiece before switching it on.
Guide the machine evenly across the surface using light pressure and overlapping passes.
Switch off the machine and allow the sanding pad to stop before placing it down or changing accessories.
