Extra Information
- The LR 32-SYS is designed for use with Festool hole-line guide rails.
- Compatible router models listed for this system include OF 900, OF 1000, OF 1010 and OF 1400.
- The system is commonly used with LR 32 guide rails such as FS 1400/2-LR 32 or FS 2424/2-LR 32.
- The set includes 5 mm dowel drills for common shelf-pin and fitting hole applications.
- The included 35 mm hinge location cutter is useful for concealed cupboard hinge preparation.
- The guide rail itself is part of the LR 32 system setup and should be selected according to the workpiece length and application.
Pro Tips
- Use a scrap test piece first to confirm the rail position, edge clearance and hole depth before drilling finished cabinet panels.
- Mark the top, bottom and front edge of cabinet panels clearly so left and right panels are drilled consistently.
- Clamp the guide rail securely before drilling to avoid small movements that can ruin a hole row.
- Use depth control on the router to prevent drilling too deep through cabinet sides.
- Keep the drill bits sharp and clean for neater shelf-pin holes and better fitting accuracy.
How to Use
- Select the correct Festool hole-line guide rail for the length of the workpiece.
- Fit the guide plate to the compatible Festool router.
- Use the centring mandrel to centre the router accurately on the guide plate.
- Fit the correct drill bit or hinge cutter for the application.
- Position the guide rail using the side fences and longitudinal stops.
- Clamp the guide rail securely to the workpiece using the supplied FSZ 120 clamps.
- Set the drilling depth on the router before starting.
- Move the router along the guide rail and drill each required hole position.
- For hinge holes, use the 35 mm hinge location cutter and drill to the correct depth for the hinge cup.
- After use, clean the parts and store the full set back in the Systainer.

Safety
- Wear suitable eye, ear and dust protection when routing or drilling.
- Use only compatible Festool routers and suitable LR 32 system accessories.
- Make sure the router, guide plate and cutter are correctly fitted before use.
- Clamp the guide rail and workpiece securely before drilling.
- Set the correct drilling depth before starting to prevent drilling through the workpiece unintentionally.
- Keep hands clear of the router bit, hinge cutter and drilling path at all times.
- Allow the router bit to stop completely before lifting the router from the guide plate or workpiece.
- Disconnect the router from power before changing cutters, adjusting the guide plate or cleaning the system.
- Use dust extraction where possible, especially when drilling MDF, chipboard or coated panels.
- Check all stops and fences before drilling production panels to avoid repeated layout errors.
