The end of the perfect edge.
Convenient conversion. Extra Information
- This Vermont Sales product is listed as FES576241 and corresponds to the Festool MFK 700 EQ/B-Plus edge router.
- Festool’s current product page redirects this older item to the current MFK 700 KA EQ-Plus product data.
- The EQ/B-style edge-routing setup is optimised for plastic and veneered edges, especially where clean flush trimming and rounded finishing are required.
- The router table has a 130 mm support area for stable guidance along the workpiece.
- The chip deflector helps with dust extraction and also assists when routing angled edges.
- Use with a suitable Festool dust extractor for cleaner work and better visibility around the cutting area.
- For best results, use sharp, suitable Festool cutters matched to the edging material and required profile.
Pro Tips
- Use the fine depth adjustment to sneak up on the perfect flush cut instead of trying to remove too much material in one pass.
- Use sharp cutters for plastic and veneer edges. A blunt cutter can leave burn marks, chatter or rough edging.
- Keep the router table flat and supported on the workpiece; that large base is there to help you avoid tipping into the edge.
- Connect dust extraction whenever possible. Plastic chips love static and will happily stick everywhere if you let them.
- Test the setup on a scrap edge before routing a finished panel, especially when working with high-gloss, veneer or delicate laminate surfaces.
How to Use
- Select the correct router cutter for the edge material and required finish.
- Disconnect the plug-it cable before fitting or changing the cutter.
- Fit the cutter securely into the correct collet and tighten with the supplied WAF 19 spanner.
- Set the routing depth using the fine adjustment system.
- Connect a compatible dust extractor to the 27 mm extraction connection.
- Set the speed according to the material, cutter diameter and routing task.
- Place the router table securely on the workpiece before starting the motor.
- Guide the router steadily along the edge using light, controlled pressure.
- Allow the cutter to stop completely before lifting the router away or placing it down.
- Disconnect the tool before cleaning, changing accessories or storing it in the Systainer³.
